Hey, look at that! Firefox didn't crash!

I guess I can get back into blogging, then.

Having dinner with samnanna and cannopener and got into a small debate. cannopener called me on where morality comes from, exactly.

Well, I'm still thinking about that. But I want to quickly point out one wrong answer.

Of course it's justifiable. It's to be avoided,sure - but there are situations that can make it unavoidable. That's why we have laws protecting people who kill in self defense. There is never any reason to feel good about killing, but there are certainly situations where it is necessary. I'd much prefer it to be otherwise though. :-/

As for where is does come from - there are bucket loads of biological/survival reasons why it might not be a good idea to kill off your own species.

now .. it may say god told them.. but we do not know the whole story .. it could have been man told them.. a lot of the bible is white man craze.. how to own the world. and get away

BTW I'm delighted that abortion has suddenly turned up in the news in election year. Where do you stand on that issue, having discarded your Christian beliefs?

That second reason for killing someone should have "and there is no reasonable alternative" or something like that.
