I have just returned from a solo motorcycle trip to VA. The point of the trip was mostly to visit Mel and have some fun with her down in her neck of the woods, but we got in some fun twisty road riding through VA, WV, and MD as well. Much fun was had.

wow! that sounds like an amazing trip. so you dont have the big fancy helmet and radio setup? that's a lot of alone thinking time. must be why there's a book titled "zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance".

congrats on reaching age 29. wait til age 34...it's amazing...no...really...

This is true - it was more or less the action that was taking place that boggled my mind. It's hard to properly describe the situation - if you can get Terri on a bike without you and video tape some solo stops in the south, I'm sure you'd be highly amused. Or angry at the blatent hitting on her she's sure to get! :D

It strikes me that the Waffle House is probably not a bastion of sexual enlightenment.

Could be that some of them were just trying to find a way to talk about bikes, or were being complimentary in their Waffle House-way.

Could they have been? Sure - but they weren't. There was a vast difference between those who were just having conversations and those who were not.
