After visiting the links provided by chaosmanor, I've deleted my earlier post. I've simply done an edit so that I can, hopefully, keep chaosmanor's comment with the links included.

Thank you so much for the links. I wondered why I hadn't come across this until today, and now I know where to go to find out what's really going on. I really appreciate your quick response! And I'm going to check these out right now.
A lot of people in the fandom are very hurt, for lots of reasons, and I think we're all just trying to work out how to move forward from this at the moment.
I just re-wrote my whole post because now I know what's going on and I felt rather stupid for not having a clue what was really going on. Plagarism is such a touchy, sensitive, and divisive issue, and hard feelings are so common whenever it comes up, that I'm not surprised that people feel hurt by this. Like I said in my edited post, I wouldn't have even gotten involved in the discussion at all if I hadn't felt that someone was being accused of something and being given no opportunity to defend themselves. I see now that I was wrong in that assumption, and I thank you sincerely for pointing me to where I could find out what was really going on. I have no doubt that our fandom will get past this eventually, just like we have done in the past. It will be a hard few weeks or months, but eventually we will move on, until it happens again. And we'll get thru it then, too, because we are a strong, supportive group who will help each other thru all the tough times.

This accusation is not baseless. For a well-reasoned and supported with examples article on the issue, I refer you to http://speakitsname.wordpress.com/2007/09/25/a-hidden-passion-lucia-logan-far-too-close-for-comfort/
