after a fabulous day with the ladies - Coach outlet, sushi at Oto-Ya in Lambertville, Borders - i skipped bjj training (ugh, rain kills motivation) and snuggled with friends for Crappy Movie Night.  tonight's selection - Garbage Pail Kids Movie from 1987.  amazing.  includes an accidental crotch-shot, a la Sharon Stone, done by the main character,

At least you can train!!! I'm dying to roll right now. I train with Jean Jacques Machado in Tarzana, and they're closed until next week. I have two weeks off, and all I want to do is roll 2X a day. So instead, I'm spending my days photographing models who need Maxim like shots. It's not bad, but I'd rather be rolling. What belt are you by the way?

wait, you are Machado, too? i think your guy just did a seminar with us. I train with Marcos Santos in NYC, and Andre "Gigueto" Soares from ATT in NJ, whenever i find myself at my parents' in NJ.

I am only white belt; been training for a year and a half, but there have been sporadic times, due to work, grad school, etc. i was up for some stripes, but decided to skip testing with Machado. not interested in that.

what belt are you? how long have you been training?

are you a photog full-time? i dabble in it, mostly to get free tickets to MMA events. ha.

I'm a blue belt. I think I'll get my purple this year. I will have been training for two years on January 9th. No, I'm not a full time photog. I'm actually an analytical biochemist by trade, but I write music for commercials and documentaries as well as photography in my spare time. I have so many hobbies, so I'm never bored. What are you studying?

I'm doing my PhD in speech-language pathology. photography is just a hobby, but i love it.

i agree - you gotta have a million things going on. i don't understand the people who "just" work and go home. i would last one week with that life. ha.
