when i was a sophomore at Temple, I remember going to watch students give biographies of historical figures. one girl was up there, discussing mary's death. "and I had to have an abortion, but I got gangrene of the uterus. the doctor reached up there and RIPPED the rotten uterus out! I died ___ days later." so that's what i associate with those names... shelley, frankenstein, uterus, wollstonecraft... all a-jumble.

Though, with gas prices the way they are, I really can't afford a 2 hour round trip to train right now anyway.

And she did die during childbirth yes, but I don't recollect any mention of gangrenous uteruses (uteri?).
As an aside, the idea of a gangrenous uterus is definitely squickworthy.
