my cousin(s) just called me:  "yo, we're in the rowboats in central park, west side.  around 80th street.  come over and we'll row to the side, you can jump in."

i was on my way home from bjj training, and needed to shower.   however, i might go toss a football around with them later, "like we're still in college."  they are 30.  youthful...? 

wait - NYT  man just told me he can have the deliveryman bring the paper TO MY DOOR in my building.  now, people passing may still be tempted to steal my paper, but perhaps i shall have to just set my alarm for the asscrack of dawn and open my door, grab it.

I  think i need to cancel my NYT subscription.  i order it sat & sun, but it just keeps getting stolen by someone in my building.  :(

Were I maybe 5 years younger, i'd be a jerk and stake it out one saturday morning.  wait around the corner, see what asshole takes it.  i can't be bothered making enemies in a building with only 8 apartments now.

also, i need to invest in a large backpack - one large enough to fit my gi, therapy materials, books for the day.  my North Face one i got last year was an ill-researched purchase, and just does not fit a gi + other daily NYC essentials.

The cover of the new Newsweek has a photo of a huge pregnant belly.  I even prefer last week's cover - a plain white page with a copy of Barry Obama's college app photo - to this nauseating one.  sickening.

friday, got out of work and walked 30 blocks to the gym.  worked out.  while there, i saw a pregnant woman who appeared to be seconds from delivering that baby; she was wearing tiny shorts and a tiny little tank top, with the belly FULLY protruding.  people were giving her disgusted looks, and she was so proud.  it made me a little sick, nauseous ( Read more... )
