The Dreams in the Witch House did not clock in as one of my favorite Lovecraft pieces. It’s all in the perspective. We all know the plot of Rosemary’s Baby. Even if we didn’t know how it ends, we’d be picking up the book, and getting some context from the cover. Lovecraft, as any enthusiast knows, didn’t have the warmest or fuzziest feelings towards persons of different races. Also, though, enthusiasts know he married a Jewish woman.
