That is a good, healthy rate!!! I think it is healthiest to lose 2.5 pounds a week. And I am also pretty sure that it is less likely to come back if lost at a healthy rate.

The first month always goes faster and it is normal to lose that much that fast but after that a better rate is 1-2 lbs a week. *I've talked to too many personal trainers lately* Depending on how is actually needing to be lost.
