MUSE tickets?

Jul 28, 2004 15:50

On the liveinconcert website they have ticket pre-orders for the St James gig and it says tickets are $64.75 so pretty much the same price as the Aussie gigs. They're obviously expecting it to sell well here too if they're going to charge that much. I think if you asked people so many more would know who Franz Ferdinand are than Muse and Franz were ( Read more... )

If I lived in Auckland I think I would have gone to see Franz, it was so cheap!

Yeah I probably should have done although all I know is Take Me Out but still, that's pretty good. I'm surprised it didn't sell out even! But I've blown a bit too much money on CDs recently so I'm trying to make my money last a wee bit longer (it's not going to happen but I'll try!)

I only know Take me Out and that new song, Matinee or something. They were on that programme before the news last night (Headliners), they seem like nice guys :)
And they said they want to come back to NZ in Summer and make a record here.
I've been buying far too many cd's lately too. I was thinking about buying Franz Ferdinand actually :)

I heard people in England going on about Franz Ferdinand 6 months or so ago and there was me thinking "who is he?" ;oP

Yeah oh I feel bad about not going now! I've decided not to go and see bands before and seriously regretted it later. I'm so glad I made the effort to see Muse at BDO though I really should have pushed to the front.

And hey! It's live music! Live music is always good (except in the case of Avril Lavigne or something)

I'll make the effort to see Franz next time if they come back then! They might even do a South Island show too for you guys!

My friend natheybear said she posted a comment on Tom Kirk's livejournal (I guess you know, he of Muse spokesperson-ness) hassling him about how NZ has two islands. I think he just replied "Yes, I know".

Ugh! Have been on the computer too long. Better go do some uni work or something!

I don't know - FF may turn out to be a flash in the pan: they only had 60 minutes worth of songs to sing and have to go through the difficult 2nd album thing. Muse have been around a bit longer, were here already this year so have built up a bigger following that way. The $65 is pretty much exactly what Sonic Youth charged, from memory.

Yeah it's just I think they've had more exposure over here than Muse have but with Muse I think it's like a car on a hill without the handbrake on. It's picking up momentum. And no, that's not quite my own awful analogy! I read it somewhere...

I'm not complaining though - hell! I'd pay $100 to see em! I pretty much did that at BDO!

And Franz? They scare me. A lot of Muse fans seem to like them though. Take me Out live at Glastonbury was on top of the pops on Saturday, I started complaining directly to the tv that they should play Muse. Sara just thought I was insane as usual.

I saw them on Rove Sunday night as well. The lead singer does most of the scaring.

Keane are indeed gracing our shores (started in the past month or two). Last weekend some guy from Manchester was asking me if I like Keane (but he was a Moan U supporter so very questionable).

I like Somewhere Only We Know but that's the only song I've heard so far.

Hell yes I'd rather see Muse a hundred times than Franz Ferdinand! And I vaguely remember my year 11 history lessons on that incident!

That's hilarious about the pants ;o)

So when are you going to see Muse then? Do the shows in England sell out in record time too? The first Brisbane show took 11 minutes!! (if you hadn't heard that somewhere already) Sydney was about 3 hours.
