there are a million witty or clever things that roll throughout my head in the course of an average day, however i never seem to still have hold of them when i find the time to find myself here. all i know right now is that life is good. i am so in love with the best man i've ever known and things are going well. school is utimatley frustrating ( Read more... )

so i have one of those please dont get mad at me questions. religiously what were you before the decision to become a catholic? and what is the primary reason for becoming one? (not dissing catholics lord knows i was taught catholic guilt through 2nd hand experience... just wandering about this is all..)

before this year id' been to church on a few occasions mostly the birth of christ and the death of family members, sometimes we'd drop in a wedding or two just to spice things up but i never went regularly, i think my parents are baptist, maybe. my mom believes in God but she doens't go to church and having never really been myself i felt, out of the religious loop, so to speak. i've always prayed on my own and believed in a higher power but was overall very uneducated. i've been facinated with Catholicism for as long as i can remember and it always apealed to me for whatever reason. i decided i'd like to go to mass with steve and i really enjoyed being there. i don't know what you mean about catholic guilt, it makes the religion sound like a bad thing... i've had nothing but warm fuzzy's from it so far and don't really see it changing. the second time i went to mass i was moved, and cried nearly the whole time, i knew in my heart this is were i needed and wanted to be, so i began rcia classes that next sunday. i have such a ( ... )
