I'm about to read start reading "Face to Face" by Susan Roane. It's tag-line is "How to reclaim the personal touch in a digital world." I'm very interested in what it has to say, because I do feel like we've been overtaken by the robots in a sense. Stay positive, Stay nice, Forgive, Understand. Think about how big and vast your life is. The person next to you has a life that is big and vast as well. We all have difficulties and issues we have to overcome. We can't forget that we're not the only ones dealing with things. Everyday I am more and more inspired!
The past few weeks have been really awesome. I've met some really amazing people, and I went to The D Show which didn't fail to amaze at all! For those of you who don't know what The D Show is: It's essentially like The Emmy's or the Oscar's for Detroit Advertising Creatives. It was incredible. A switch turned on inside of me.
I went to an event for 313 Digital on Tuesday night by myself. I was invited by someone I've never met before. He started following me on Twitter, then Facebook. Anyway, the event was great and empowering in a sense. Molly Beauregard, a CCS Sociology Professor and Dennis Lim - Creative Director for Campbell Ewald were speakers at the event. For the past few days I have felt nothing but neck/shoulder pain and complete misery. I no longer have perfect attendance in any of my classes. I've missed every class once now! Grrr!
