I'd been having a long day up until about 9:30 or 10, which is when I finally got that god damn piece of whatever out of my foot. It's not all the way gone, but I can walk on it normally again, which is the biggest relief I could imagine. It pretty much wiped away everything else that was bothering me. Friday in Austin we went for a quick dip in the water at, uh, Bear Creek, I think it's called? Some low-running, foul-smelling body of water near Jon's apartment. Anyway, in the middle of it, right off the road, there's a large rock with a hole in the middle, and you can swim under the rock and pop out in the middle. i feel strange and heavy-hearted tonight, as though i portend something is coming to an end soon. some people i know are leaving, but i feel it extends beyond that. not sure how it'll manifest. i don't know when i'll be physically moving on. spiritually, or at heart, something may be afoot. on this lifeline, i can never really say.
