Well, I got myself a couple of contracts for the summer. Not offically, I am composing one of the contracts today, but I essentially have the thing. I will be making 4 fairytale costumes for the Mall of America. And though I tried to figure in the budget how much I am usually off, I am sure I will still be inaccurate anyway. The other contract

so, have an interesting story for you.
went to a thing at the playhouse last night for next season and brian proball is the new tech guy and his wife is in charge of education.
john berry was there to put in his application to direct.
he comes up to me and startes telling me how the entire theater dept hates him cause pat hates him and how because he abuses students and because pat hated The Tempest so badly that he will never be allowed to direct at UMD again.

i could not lose him. he kept coming up to me to discuss his bad treatment at umd. it was very weird, very uncomfortable. i thought his methods were different but i worked on two of his shows and never felt his wrath not to say i didn't hear stuff but i didn't know he had been black listed.

very weird.

That is weird. He is so weird. When I first read it, I accidentally skipped the sentence about John Berry putting in his application, so I thought you were talking about Brian Proball! Brian had his moments at UMD, (or at least with me) but I always thought he was a good guy, so I thought he had gone crazy. John Berry on the other hand, not so surprising...
I knew that he was a little bit off, but since I left there, I keep hearing more and more strange stories about John's odd behavior. How uncomfortable indeed!
Do you work at the Playhouse? Is that where the show is that you are working on?

No, I went to also put my application in. I am going to be in Death in the Maiden at the Playground theater downtown we open the first weekend in Oct.

I do work with Renegade and the Playground. The playground is nice for gritty theater. Nice black box space.

I found it odd since I have not seen him in like 10 years for him to be saying all this stuff to me. Never thought he cared for me much but who knows when it comes to him. Brian is still Brian. His work so far has been excellent but he still the same crazy Brian.
