Finished: The Hero of Ages (Mistborn 3) by Brandon Sanderson. The first two-thirds continue to suffer from being the middle part of a trilogy. Seriously, I think there is really only enough material for two books and Sanderson pads it to three by having the characters go over and over the same things in their heads. Movies!
Free HBO this weekend, so I've seen a few movies. The Judge was really good. I wish I'd followed up on my interest to see it when it was in theaters. Robert Duvall got a lot of award nominations, but for me Robert Downey Jr. was great. Finished: The Well of Ascension (Mistborn 2) by Brandon Sanderson. Suffers from being the middle part of a trilogy. I think the majority of the book treaded water with the main characters constantly reviewing how they felt about the situation and multiple explanations about what was going on but with little actually happening until the thrilling ( Read more... ) -

Supernatural
Recently I and a couple of other people have become interested in Supernatural, but for various reasons can't get behind watching every episode of 10 seasons. SO, is there a compilation of video clips of each season's arcs/highpoints? Like a half hour to an hour for each season? Marvel's Agent Carter
I don't like it. I wanted to like it, but I don't. The problem is Agent Carter herself. (1) After four episodes, I still don't know who she is beyond a woman who believes in democracy, loved Steve Rogers, and can handle herself in a fight. But who is she? What music does she like? Update
It occurred to me that some of you are unaware of the major occurrence in my life. My father passed away a little over a week ago. He had been failing for some time but also keeping some significant health issues from us, so it wasn't a complete surprise but it wasn't prepared for either. Decisions
I have been up since the wee hours (3 or 4 am?). While paying bills, I discovered my free Nook subscription to Real Simple had expired and I was now being charged for it.
