You should make your own cereal bars. Way cheaper. Use Smart Start or Kashi, or just get some granola. Yum.

Beef stock is a bunch of beef and veggies boiled in water for a really long time, and then the chunks of beef are taken out. The water is "stock".

Evie, the cost was 8 bars for $1.99. No pennies shaved off this price are worth the labor saved by buying them from Entenmann's!

I have at least 6 cans of Campbells Chunky soup in my cupboard at any given moment. At least 2 at work, as well. I'm a big chicken corn chowder fan =)

My grocery store doesn't have chicken corn chowder, but I'd DEFINITELY get that if it was available. It sounds great!

Stock is actually made with bones, not with the meat. And veggies and herbs.
It's satisfying.

It's edible and hearty. And that's good enough. I had some vegetarian chili tonight - outta sight! It was great, even w/o meat.

I mean that it's satisfying to make... it's also satisfying to eat, but there is NOTHING like making stock from scratch. It takes like six hours and loads of patience if you do it right. Plus, I really like going to the butcher and buying big marrow bones.

You have culinary power, and I don't. Let me know the next time you make stock - I'll "take stock" of it, for sure.
