Five Hundred and Fifty Eight

Ok, that was a whirlwind visit to Milwaukee and back. The whole Uecker Seat Experience was awesome. I drank too much shitty beer, as usual, but there was a big difference between this trip to Miller Park and all previous ones: I spent $20 on food and beer! Whoah, better pinch those pennies, New York boy. As much as I like the chorizo (in a ( Read more... )

i hate that i went to bed so early, but it's also good - i would have just called in and gotten a point. instead, i took the late bus and clocked in with 30 seconds before the .25 point kicked in.

allison, come to the House WK BBQ and show Sunday, 5 or 6pm!

I still dislike Riverhorse. The vibe has always been bad for me. It is also physically uncomfortable and not cozy or inviting at all. It's always freezing cold in the winter, and I hate those crappy tall stools. No bar smells good (except maybe Nessun Dorma due to the kitchen), but Riverhorse really smells BAD. They also have nothing unique/worth paying bar prices to drink.

I hella love Foundation now, but I am old and bffs with Don & Erin.

I can actually remember, shockingly vividly, one night of me, you ben (and maybe Cam?) venturing into Tony's place.

Heh, Foundation is still way cool! I hope I didn't give off the wrong impression. It's just that, for some reason, the Riverhorse has become where people like Claire/Andy Junk/etc DJ, not so much Foundation anymore. I couldn't even begin to explain why. I don't live in Milwaukee.

For the record, my favorite bar to drink at, period, for the last couple years before I moved was the Uptowner.

I think that might've been my most successful DJ night ever! I barely made it home.

I was at the game yesterday! My first trip to Miller Park. My band was playing for a corporate thing at Helfaer Field and we got some free tickets.

Main observation: MP is disturbingly clean inside.

I still have that table, actually. At least one person has suggested throwing it out the last three times I've moved.

That is EXCELLENT. I don't know why I thought Poortenga had it. Either you or I should have it. Good man!
