if a team wins a cup in a state where no one gives a fuck, does it make a sound?

Sad, isn't it, that the Stanley Cup wasn't awarded again this year? I thought we'd put the lockout behind us, but two years with no new champion engraved on the Cup...I hope the sport can recover.

And because I know you all want to see what my leg looks like. (Don't worry, there's SteriTape over the stitches and all you can see is darkish color Read more... )

Can we make that retroactive to three years?

I can't quite measure up how mad I should be right now.

Nice wound. Hope it feels better soon.

Sure it wasn't a vampire that bit ya? ;-)

Those will be lovely scars. Speaking of scars, my surgical scar on my boob is uuuugly. Maybe I'll get a tat over it. It's an inch long ugly purple worm right now.

That would be one bigass vampire.

If it's purple, it should fade, right? Most scars end up white, I think, right?

It had better fade. I'm assuming that, since it was a deep cut to get all that tissue, that it might still be healing beneath the surface, even tho it's been over a month. I'm using a scar lotion which is supposed to help diminish the appearance of it.

I don't think I've heard you mention tanning recently, but my dr. said to make sure to wear sunscreen on my scar whenever I went outside for any length of time, especially for the first couple of months, because exposing it to UV would make it more noticeable in the long run.

I bet after a month it's still healing. I'm sure it'll fade.

And come on, at least Wesley got the Cup. You gotta be a little happy over that.

mmmmmmm...nope.

I don't have any emotional attachment to Wesley. Blake, yes. Glen, no.

Well, I don't either, but a former Hawk. That's at least nice. So stop whining! :p

OUCH. That looks painful. :X Do the stitches just fall out?

Nope, the thread is plastic (or whatever synthetic). I have to have them taken out in 7-10 days.

It's really not too bad. Sensitive, obviously. But the bruises are worse than the actual cuts so far.

Ahhh. *shudders* I've been lucky enough to not have had them before. I remember my sister having them between her toes (someone threw a brick at her) and hers fell out or something.

Yeah. Mmm, bruises. Haha.

Nah, getting stitches taken out isn't a big deal. It's somewhere between a pinch and a tickle. Like getting poked with a pin.
