I'm 35.5 weeks w/ my second. This will be my 2nd homebirth. My midwife has asked me to come up with 2 lists. The first she called a list of "affirmations"; birth positive messages that might mean something to me during labor. Can y'all help me with that? Anything that stuck out to you during labor? Thanks to those who gave me input on my post yesterday! I e-mailed my midwife with our concerns, and just got an e-mail back saying they're willing to extend home visits to our town for our care. We'll have a home visit at 24 hours and 72 hours, then back in the office for a 7 day visit and following. So relieved I don't have to worry about ( Read more... )

Hello. My question might seem silly but there is one thing that is not quite clear to me and thus somewhat scary. I do not understand what happens after the baby's head and neck are born. How can the shoulders (much wider than the neck) be born without getting stuck.

Am I the only one that feels this way?
