i was really wanting some religion, so i was listening to sermon podcasts and occasionally pausing them to sing along to videos of hymns on youtube, and i got to this one and just started sobbing for some reason.

i don't even support governmentally sanctioned marriage.

I'm against marriage laws as well. I mean, I think that churches can preform ceremonies and call it marriage or people can call their committed relationship a marriage, but there should be no government law called "marriage" or anything like that. All of the things that the word marriage entails - love, commitment, spirituality, etc. - are things that government has no business regulating. The only aspect of marriage that the government has any business over is enforcing contractual agreements which could be handled separately.
