This emptiness within seems to expand with every breath I take, leaving me completely directionless and blinded by the darkness that has exploded within me...purposeless. idealess. emotionless. i sit here and hear the echoes around me and the song that is playing in the distant, but nothing is recognized. the only thing that awakens me momentarily

isn't it ironic? here we are always told to value our emotions, but you're right it doesn't actually matter. in the end it becomes all about how quickly you can recoup and keep going. it almost makes me think that we are expendable, as long as we don't mess up the greater groove.
