So last night I saw two movies at the Westgate. Once I got there I wanted to see three, but so it goes. The first was Thank You For Smoking. Top notch, incredibly entertaining, and cute in a morbid way. 92 minutes that fly by.
The other one I saw was Hard Candy. This movie could have been a play. It's mainly a dialogue between a 14 year-old

Or stupid me. I got this voucher for a free round-trip ticket with NWA (for volunteering to take a bump on a flight). Well, as it turns out, they have a limited number of free-flight seats available on each flight. Or it's one the flight fills up to a certain point they no longer take free flight vouchers. Great. The first of the two films I saw on Saturday was Stolen Life. Interesting and ultimately depressing. The kind of depressing that you wonder why you're subjecting yourself to it. Last night's movie was alright. In one word I'd describe it as meta. I don't know if that's right, but I'm using the word anyway. It's a movie/documentary of a film crew auditioning people to do a scene between a husband and a wife, a conflict in which the wife accuses the man of being a faggot.
