Ugh socialization failure

I was hoping to finally socialize with some of the other wives here. My husband's coworker was having a birthday party yesterday so we went over. I've been just having the hardest time here in FL trying to make any friends (really missing my VA/MD people). I was looking forward to meeting new people

I miss VA too... I miss the people and there was alway something to do or hangout with. Unlike dinky Gettysburg the only thing to do in this stupid town is drink.

I am so sorry the people suck down there! I wish FL could be fun for you because it is, after all, FL and not currently covered in snow like up here...

I'm in a similar boat and I'm not even forced to live in some strange world. My one friend got a boyfriend and I don't really have any other friends? I find myself missing undergrad more and more lately. Winter blues maybe?

Oh I hate antisocial people like that. It reminds me of highschool... everyone "hanging out" together when really, you're just ignoring the person next to you for the person on the other end of your cell phone. UGH.
