On your second question, if you don't get an answer here you might try posting on multilingual.

Well, 'brother' in Hebrew is "ach" (it's a harsh 'ch' sound, not like a 'k,' but as in the Scottish 'loch'). But how often do you call your sibling 'brother'? She'd probably just call him by his name.

Actually I'm working on a AU fic in which Ziva would visit Ari's grave and talk to him... and using just 'Ari' doesn't seem to fit, it's not something she would use on a daily basis but a way to be a little more "spiritual" than just calling him by his name.
Don't know if it makes any sense but anyway thanks for your help !

I'm not sure on the first one, but the second, if you can't find 'big brother', you could make up a nickname. Like, if he's being oveprotective, she could call him whatever bulldog is in Hebrew.

"Achi" would be "brother" (lit. "my brother").

She might have called him "motek" - something like "sweetie" but without the saccarine connotations.

Hope that helps.
