I remember Don Bosco from being a MUCS fresher all those years ago. It was basic but seemed OK to me. I heard it was renovated and that the price went up significantly, which is why we never went back. Probably worth investigating again. My memory from that camp was that it had a trampoline which I hit my head on, and a large crucifix out the front, which we strung Juzzy up on.
Heathcote junction, Wallan campsite starts with L. I remember the shed for a rehearsal room and there being spiders in the flip-down seats. I will keep thinking about the name.
Yep, MIV98 was at Campaspe Downs near Kyneton. Too far and big for MonUCS.
I remember that Anglesea camp, we snuck booze in and were caught and were banned forever. Probably MUCS actually.
There was a camp up on a hill above Torquay that we went to for a Fresher camp one time...
I remember that Traralgon camp - I had to cater for Saturday lunch without having been the one that bought the food, so I didn't know what there was for me to use. And we had about 20 people show up without putting in camp forms so we ran out of food. Disaster catering-wise, but I remember the kitchen was pretty functional.
I remember that combined camp too - we came with toddler Della and our room was very close to where people were hanging out late at night, and someone kept screaming and waking us up. I got up and totally went off at them :( Also people kept leaving their crap everywhere, so we had to be careful with what Della got into.
Oh my goodness, I forgot my nasty nitruous related camp concussion. I obviously confused MUCS camps with FOUL camps, where camp injuries are an annual tradition. This was a camp one december, and then the following fresher camp.
I reckon Wombat Corner's rehearsal space could easily be changed from dodgy shed thing to either the common room or the dining room. The tables were collapsable and the chairs very stackable.
