This town stinks

We are staying the night in Charleston, WV to break up the 10 hour drive home.  It seemed like a good idea at the time to stay here.  We picked a hotel on the river with a river view and it seemed pretty nice online.  It ain't.  Our non smoking room smells like smoke.  And even though we reserved a room overlooking the river, apparently you are

You're in West Virginia. Check the sign out front for "Family-friendly hourly rates". That might explain things.

When we travelled this fall, Charleston was one of my favorite stops! The Hampton Inn we stayed in was awesome, and the cheapest hotel of our whole vacation (I think it was $80 on a Saturday night). And I loved the way the city is just laid out all around the mountains--different from Asheville because Asheville is in a valley.

Where we stayed there was this massive shopping center that had everything--you couldn't find a place to eat there? Oh well.
