I just saw the most retarded round of Final Jeopardy ever. Tonight was one of the special episodes where they have kids about 12 years old come on and do their thing, and the questions are easier than usual. The contestants were some nondescript white girl, a nerdy Jewish kid, and a black girl from Ohio. After bungling their way through the first ( Read more... )

I think today's kids were even worse!! There was one kid who was over 10000 dollars ahead, and then comes this daily double. The category is stamps. The question is something like, this stamp shown here (it is a picture of two hands holding a picture of the earth) commemorates this, first observed in the 1970s. The kid says "the great wall of china" wtf?!?!?! And then in final jeopardy the question was something like "On April something, 1911 this was photographed for the last time in queenstown, ireland" The answer was obviously the Titanic. One kid leaves it blank, the second guesses "the loch ness monster" creative, but not quite. Then the kid who did the great wall of china thing, who still has more than twice the money of the second place person says , get this, THE BERLIN WALL!!!! omg it was hilarious!! That's why I hate kids jeopardy.

Holy crap, the Berlin Wall has got to be one of the worst possible things you could answer for that question. That's a disgrace.

holy fuck, I was watching MTV's 70's house show and they were having a trivia contest. they had 4 questions: What 4 presidents served in the 70s, what country were 400 americans taken hostage, what year was the bicenntenial, and what war ended with US pull-out in 1973. Motherfuckers were tripping, I think like 2 of them got the bicenntenail one, I don't know if anyone got the others. fucking retards.

Figured as much. I noticed that a while ago and decided that it was unlikely that MTV would be clever enough to insert such a trick question.
