lurking demons creeping Satan's shadows

windhover stark light, broken and bent by
refraction, perception

the dull ache that lingers

how do I escape this
vicious cycle

run through the rain
splashing and
washing away all
I have suffered

Until I stand panting, soaked
finally clean

sheets of water blending earth and sky
