So, have you actually gone anywhere with him at all? Or for three months have you just been planning things and then having them fall through? And why don't you have his phone number?

When you talk about pursuing him, three months ago you had just started dating someone. What happened to that guy?

If you're still afraid that you only want him because he reminds you of a past flame, then I'd say let it be. If you've come to both know and, more importantly, see him as him and him alone, then geez get his number and actually make one of these dates happen.

Well, we naturally meet every single week at the same bar from like 10pm to close (and I ditch the people I was with and he ditches the people he was with and we talk and hang out and play pool or darts the whole night). So it depends on what is meant by "have you actually gone anywhere with him at all?".

The dating the other person never really took off. Maybe he noticed that I was really into this other person?

I think that qualifies as "going somewhere", since what I was getting at was spending time together, especially without the company of others. But really, you should try doing some sort of activity together outside of the bar-pool-darts routine, at least once :P
And keep debating with yourself why you're attracted to him. In this instance, I think that's necessary/healthy.
