Since you're in Boston, I'm assuming you might be someone I've met before, but I'm afraid sometimes I'm not good at being able to tell if explicit names aren't attached (in short, I know quite a number of poly folks in Boston, although I no longer live there as of about six months ago). I should have just looked at your profile page a few days ago, but I was very ill and kind of just hit the "add back" link in the email notification without further investigation. Bronchitis is the worst.

You hear a lot about poly relationships failing, but you mostly don't hear how they succeed.

It's just that it's really four relationships. You and C. C and S. You and S. All three of you.

Yeah, totally. And, I mean, I do know some very successful long-term triads - not saying "it can't work," just "wow, this is gonna require a whole different set of skills than couple-based poly, that's super intimidating."
