[[Time passes. There's the sound of someone on the stairs, coming up from downstairs. It sounds like they're having trouble with it, limping heavily.]]

[By now, Shilo's well and truly panicked- her medicine's gone and her hair is her actual hair. She can be heard moving around in her room making distressed little noises.]

[[And the door opens finally, revealing Theta in all of her leaning-on-a-cane glory.]]

[[This wouldn't bother Basini, except that no one's cried out for his father in about four years. He creeps across the hall, cautiously as all fuck, and veeeeery tentatively raps on Shilo's door. When the door isn't locked, and pushes open a little at his touch, he jumps.

Dark eyes and badly cut curly hair become visible through the gap for a moment, and then he quickly hurries back across the hall and slams his door.]]
