I've always had a bit of a kink for men crying, and of course this fandom is the best possible fandom for that. Them being real people kind of ruins sad crying for me, though, because watching real people getting their dreams crushed is just upsetting.

LOLOLOL THIS is the post that made you break down? :D I could also offer vids of Daisuke crying in physical therapy, after he had a horrible injury, which he then recovered from well enough to come back and win the World championship. Or lots and lots of sad crying after people lost various competitions. Basically this is a very tearful fandom.

Eh. I started off various moments of pretty men crying and went on to see who did the most spectacular quads, ending up with staring at Evgeni Plushenko for a good twenty minutes. Damn you. *g*

Hee, Evgeni's skating does nothing for me, personally, although I like him, he's a funny guy. Brian Joubert also has really nice quads. I made a post with my favorite skating programs a while back, although that one didn't have a lot of great jumping, I don't think.

If you're even vaguely interesting in figure skating stuff, I can't recommend Be Good Johnny Weir highly enough. It's just a really fun show to watch, because Johnny is such a fun character, and the editing is fantastic, and it explains a lot of the background behind skating without ever being boring. There's downloads on all the usual comms, or I could hook you up.

Oh god, I just discovered I can't even watch Johnny HAPPY cry anymore, because it makes me think about him post-Olympics, when he said he found a dark corner and cried for hours by himself, and I was like OH GOD, JOHNNY NOOOOOOO ;_______________; I mean, I still think he's hilarious when he bursts into happy tears, I just apparently can't WATCH it this early in the morning.

Evan also tears up a bit after his 2009 Worlds LP, when he was wearing that terrible velvet suit.

I live in hope that Johnny does go on DWTS and kicks ass, so we can get happy tears again.

Johnny would be so amazing on DWTS. And you know they'd totally play up the rivalry angle, to. Imagine if he won, after Evan didn't!

THIS IS THE POST OF MY HEART. *_____* I think my love for this fandom was cemented forever when Johnny buried his face in his hands right after his Olympics LP (before he knew his scores, when he just knew he'd done really well). So much love.

I'm so glad I didn't watch the Olympics live. I can't even imagine what it would have felt like watching Johnny skate so well and expecting great scores, and then getting sixth place. :(

IT WAS AWFUL. Especially because I was completely freaking out during both of his programs, I couldn't even appreciate how good they were until I was re-watching later and already knew he wasn't going to fall. I totally understand why-is it Tanya Lysacek who says she can't watch Evan skate live? Because I have to imagine that someone's mom is a million times more invested in them than I am, and I found watching the Olympics and Worlds so nervewracking. D:

I love everything about this post. If I had my way, all figure skating fic would consist of like 50% crying and 50% sex.
