Sweet, does that mean we should expect to see more of these? These beasts are pretty awesome. I'm a bit curious about some of the apparent sexual dimorphisms (wings, armfins, back spines, etc.) but I'm sure that's something that either has or will come with the back-and-forth process.
Also, the ambiguous fighting/sexing thing is working out perfectly, in my opinion.
As for the dimorphisms, I'm not sure she picked them out to be anatomically or biologically correct. ^^; Just sort of "hey, make the guy look like a human merman version of an Asian dragon and here's what the chick looks like."

That makes a lot of sense then, and for what it's worth, I can certainly agree with a "Screw biology, this is fantasy" mindset every now and again.
