I changed the pose after some critiqueing from other artists, I think for the better, and changed her position to the right so she's not so centered. What do you all think?

So here is an update on the steph portrait, and another painting I've beenm working on, and a 1/4 finished self portrait.

The biggest news so far...I pulled and/or tore a ligament in my left shgoulder last night a judo. Hurts like a sonofabitch. So no tournaments for me for a while. :( But anyway I hope ya'll enjoy the "artwork".

I know I havent been on in like forever, been really busy, been painting alot. Got a wacom tab and have been doing alot of digi painting. I've been sick, but I'm starting to feel better. I spent all my savings and am baisicly broke, but Steph is very happy with her birthday present! I got her a Nikon D70 digital SLR, 2gb compact flash card, and 2 year extended warranty. :) I wanted to get her the D200, but I just couldn't swing it. Oh well. :)

Sat, I was promoted in Jiu-jitsu (given another stripe), so now I'm a three stripe white belt. Then on monday, I was promoted to brown belt in judo. I'm wary about the brown belt, it means that I now enter brown belt level competitions, not novice level competitions. I have the feeling I'm going to get my ass seriously kicked a couple times ( Read more... )

I placed first, for the first time in a Judo tournament last Saturday. It was a bit bittersweet due to the fact that there was only one other competitor in my weight bracket, but I suppose it's better then 2nd out of 2.
