Here are some shots of the cane I just made for my Gankutsuou costume. The top of the cane was cast from an original sculpture and the shaft was made from a pool cue. I sculpted the original by hand from sculpey which I then baked. After baking, I made a mold of it and cast it in friendly plastic.

A week before the con, I was wrangled into going, and so I sprung into action to fix up my Alucard costume. I tried remaking the hell hounds, but the mold didn't work at all, and I ended up wasting the last night before the con producing nothing but failure. This is the hardest thing I've ever had to write. Spiderman 3 was fucking painful to watch. Parts of it are brilliant, but so much of it caused me to actually cringe.
