Somebody on BGG has written an AI that plays Race for the Galaxy. Source and Windows binary here. Dynasty Warriors Gundam

Anathem
I finished Anathem over the weekend. It has been a long time since I've been up past sunrise doing anything, much less finishing a book. Needless to say, I enjoyed it a great deal, although there are 150ish pages in the middle that drag a bit.

I disagree with yesterday's xkcd. I haven't finished Anathem, and I'll bide my time on jumping to its defense (so far, however, I find it amazing even though it does appear to be set in the middle of a game of Lexicon). Mu (first impressions)
Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to play Mu, a trick-taking card game that I picked up a couple of months ago. It seems to take elements from a few different places, and I don't think we exactly plumbed the depths of either the strategy or the tactics, but it was an interesting game.

Afghan
Over the weekend I finally got around to doing the last 90 minutes of work on the crochet afghan I started working on last January or so (doing borders where the instruction is simply "sc down this side" gives me OCD-related willies).
Edited to add: I'll post a photo or two once I can get a couple from someone who owns a camera. -
Random thought
I'd like to see a dollar-bill changer that will give out a $1 coin in exchange for a $1 bill.
EDIT: I've received plenty of $1 coins as change for purchases. The purpose of this machine would be to look innocuous and give $1 coins (rather than quarters) back to unsuspecting people. -
Agricola
I've recently had the chance to play a couple of games of Agricola, courtesy of someone who bought the German edition and sleeved all the cards with paste-ups of the translated text.
