Mamet is brilliant. Redbelt is a work of subtle genius. I can't really say any more right now, other than that it kicks the fighting/boxing film (or whatever that subgenre is called) in the face.
I own and read "True and False" by him in high school. He was my acting guru and helped me get into character.
Now, as my company changes one of it's smaller company's name AGAIN, my boss recommended Glengarry PR after Glengarry Glen Ross. True story. We vetoed it because basing a company that relies on leads on a film about slightly corrupt people looking for leads isn't exactly a good idea. Don't you agree?
You should check out his book "On Directing Film." I know a few people who dig it.
