I'm finally dealing with the major ill effect of having been a contract worker: taxes out the butthole. I scheduled my tax payment to go in tomorrow, just to get it over with, but then some other things came up. I just walked outside (in my shorts and t-shirt)... and got snowed on.

It's snowing in Austin.

I've never seen snow before.

After two weeks of being on pins and needles, the Apple recruiter finally called and made a formal job offer. It pays more than I thought it would. I'm going to the campus tomorrow to fill out paperwork. I start in a month!

I'm happy.

These were up on Makezine.com last week but I forgot to promote them myself (other than on Facebook). Here are the first two videos made from footage filmed at Maker Faire last month. We have six or seven more to edit, and I hope we get them done soon.

I went up on an open mic comedy night, because my friend Lynette was hosting... and got real laughs!!

Formerly good habits are coming back to haunt me this week. This summer I began writing on my laptop while laying in bed in the dark. It worked very well, what with the many dark hours with no distraction. I may have to shift this practice to earlier in the day, just after I get off of work.
