as a smart fictional man named lloyd dobler once said:

"I don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. You know, as a career, I don't want to do that."

Retail sucks. Customer service sucks. Hence my current unemployment and poverty rather than, well, employment and poverty.

That store doesn't have a fall season rush. It's really ridiculous. I've daydreamed of turning that store upside down and doubling and tripling sales just by changing the layout and the tacky window displays. I think she should really invest in some professional marketers and really milk that location for once. The rush is maybe ten people in line. Btw, I take it you are talking about the stationary store. You should quit if you want to, I'll send you five bucks to buy yourself a beer if you do.

I know exactly what you mean. slimsketchy July 21 2004, 08:29:11 UTC
What's up Justin, this is Eric, in case you couldn't tell from my icon. I thought I had come across your journal when I first got on LJ but that you weren't really updating so I didn't add you. Now that I've been on LJ for a while I'm catching on that people usually ask when they want to add someone. So I'm going to add you and ask retro-actively. Is it cool if I add you? Great.

So yeah, I totally had that problem too. Susan's just too nice; you don't want to dissapoint her. When I would come in sick with a cold she would give me cold medicine and make me run back to ridge to put on a sweater. How can you ditch out on that.

Congrats on the new job!
