I called my sister yesterday to wish her "Happy Birthday". When I called she was waiting for her fiance to take her to the ER because she dislocated her knee when her horse brushed her up against a tree. Probably not the most fun birthday.

I arrived back from Pittsburgh on Sunday and I got a call from Myra. She was in town with her family and they were going to Laguna Beach yesterday so they invited me to come along. I am flying out to Pitsburgh tomorrow for graduate recruitment for Carnegie Mellon. The weather forcast says snow, which will be strange because it is currently 75deg in Irvine. Hopefully I will be able to adjust to the temperature. The UCI recruitment was a lot of fun, and so I know that I will have a difficult time chosing which school to go ( Read more... )

Although Saturday is better!

My weekend was very relaxing for a change. On Saturday we ran a couple of errands. I bought a new "large capacity" toaster oven because our old one was really crappy and I wanted a bigger one so I can bake cookies in it without heating up the house in the summertime. Yesterday concluded my six-day long party marathon. I concluded with a cookie party at my place. We had 11 people come and we baked 6 batches of cookies and frosted them with 4 recipes of frosting. It was a very sugary day. We also watched Rodolph the Red-nosed Reindeer and played a bunch of Guitar Hero. Very fun, but a lot of work.
