I love this story. The way you balanced what could be very real repercussions - and what I think was a completely reasonable and responsible request from Callie - with such love and humor is great. I'm glad you wrote about this topic - both because it's real for their situation and because it's so important that it gets addressed wherever it can so people can raise their awareness and educate themselves (and each other). I like that you touched on the amount of work it's taken the two of them to get to the point they're at, because it's such an important journey, and I like the acknowledgment that there's still work to be done ( ... )

That is completely why I wrote it. Given the way things happened, I can't imagine Lauren would have disclosed it had she been infected with any STIs. After this type of sexual encounter, getting tested is ALWAYS a good idea.

I tried to make it clear that they didn't just magically get to this place. It took MONTHS and they're still not all the way back. The purpose of this fic wasn't to address that directly, but I'm glad it came across as I intended, that they didn't just brush everything away.

Oh, Chelsea. I think everyone has known a Chelsea.

Oh man! This is brilliant in so many many ways. STIs are not talked about enough in general. UTIs as well. I applaud this entire thing.

That's exactly right. I wish more people were properly informed (looking at pictures of diseased organs in "sex ed" does not count) about STIs. And I wish there wasn't such shame attached to getting tested and getting treatment.

I really enjoyed this!
Not only is getting tested important for real life, it's something I've never read before in fic-land (concerning Calzona no less) and quite frankly, after Arizona's "situation", it's most definitely necessary (not like we'll ever get that in canon. lol).
Plus this had it's touches of sweetness and humor. You're writing is so great :)

I do like to be a original when I can.

I cannot emphasize the importance of STI testing enough. Too many people are too ashamed to get a test that can save them from a whole slew of negative consequences (not to mention saving their future partners from the same fate).
