I do intend to take SC2 a bit more seriously when my schedule normalizes, but I'm currently terrible.

I think there's a kind of awesomeness in being Captain Hindsight for newbie games and perhaps getting really excited over terrible micro/macro?

(I've got some TV broadcast production software kicking around, incidentally, but I think it's mac-only.)

Give me a copy and I will provide feedback. Also if you need some audio postproduction I have some skillz there.

I think there's significant demand for non-Diamond League play out there, if for no other reason than there's very little coverage of games where the players aren't hyperelite. Other than Day 9's Newbie Tuesday and the occasional Bronze League Husky/HD 'cast, there's limited videos for Bronzite-Gold players to watch that actually talk to them at their level, with real, tangible advice that can help them see an immediate improvement. "Pylons and probes" is all well and good, but let's face it -- that's something you're going to learn by rout, not by actually thinking about the game ( ... )

As long as you're starting to mention it, I'll stick the light version of my Day[9] is wrong, pylons-and-probes is a load of crap rant here:

If you are in the Bronze League, and your goal is to rise up through to Diamond, then Pylons and Probes is the answer - because in the end, 40 mutalisks at the 8 minute mark beats 3 thors at the 8 minute mark. However, if your goal is to have good games against other people who are bad at macro just like you, then the crazy strategies, micro, and 'counter' focused play that you see on the 'pro' level commentaries are both FUN and EFFECTIVE.

I think you give me a little too much credit. I'm not actaully good at SC2. Just because I'm "in diamond" doesn't mean very much! I'm just a somewhat better at the "pylons and probes" stuff, and apply it to muscle my way to victory with "less terrible than my opponents" play - in no way am I actaully playing at a particularly high level.

I really really like the name "FourteenHatch"
Like seriously, it's awesome.

* God, I cannot spell "actually" to save my life. My fingers refuse to do it.

Stay positive; MyFreeTimeForAuir and TooManyMinerals are the strongest there, to my eye.

Yeah. I really like TooManyMinerals - it is short and catchy enough.
MyFreeTimeForAiur is funny and a great little catchphrase, but quite a mouthful.
