Life has been beyond busy.  I'm working a ton of hours, even on weekends so I haven't had much personal computer time to come and write.

Right now I'm 7 weeks out from sugery and already down to 251!!!!  That means I've lost 30lbs since surgery and I'm 70lbs down from my highest!!!!!

As you can imagine, I'm beyond excited.  I checked my BMI today and ( Read more... )

That is fabulous! I'm very excited and happy for you! Congrats!

About clothes..... while it's very exciting to shrink, when you buy something new, one month later it will be too big. I was a size 22. I was thrilled to buy new at first but as I kept adding things to the Goodwill bag, I thought, "oh wow, what a waste of $$". Sadly, I remember using safety pins in the waist band of my pants to try to make them last a little longer.

I think you should definetly treat yourself to something whenever you want. You deserve it!

As much as you can, try to stretch that dollar. Try thrift stores or maybe swap with someone.

My at home clothes became & are still yoga pants, t-shirts & tank tops. Super cheap at Walmart. I know that you have to dress up for work. I'm sure there are some staples that you can think of.

Thanks!

The hard thing is that I do have to dress for work.

I barely am buying any weekend clothes. I bought one pair of jeans and then everything else is just baggy right now.

I tend to go for dresses right now as staples for work.

I can still wear some dresses that are a little big and have them not look bad.

One thing that is nice too is my mother is super excited and wants to help me buy clothes along the way.

I found I can wear shirts for a lot longer than I can wear pants while shrinking, so I buy pants at the thrift store only.

I'm really so excited for you!
