tummy trouble

Little boy has had a hard week. He got pinkeye, which was bad enough, but when a patch of skin under his left eye began looking like OS' did when she developed periorbital cellulitis a few years ago, we took him to the doctor. Augmentin can be hell on stomachs. I'm surprised they didn't give you Cefalor or Ceclor for him as it does better with cellulitis (though Augmentin is still a good choice, Cefalor is tamer on the rest of your body). We just went through some bad cellulitis with Ella and we all had staph. I hope he feels better soon.

B"H he seems much better today (and is actually nursing!). I don't think he's back to 100% but at least he is smiling and playing when he's awake instead of crying, clinging and being generally miserable.

I've had my own troubles with Augmentin -- not tummy-wise, but when I took it to shake a persistent respiratory infection, it triggered a really nasty yeast overgrowth on my chest. It took weeks to shake that off.
