I must confess, I feel a cognitive spasm, the memetic equivalent to a violent sneeze, every time I hear the phrase "medical ethicist" or its more scientific namesake, "bioethicist". Okay, this thing is wrong.. I love some of the responses.

I didn't get it. They were "impressed" with my "raw intelligence", and my "willingness and ability to jump into areas in which I had little prior exposure" and handled myself "remarkably well", but they "decided to go in a different direction at this time".

Ah well.
