Oh man, I'm so glad you got away from him, and seem to be doing alright. I'm so sorry you have had such an experience!

Good luck with the divorce proper, and your story. Those old nuns sound pretty awesome. :)

These women never cease to amaze me. Example: 98 year old retired school teacher, using a walker and portable oxygen for everything, who has lost most of her eyesight, so enjoys being read to.

I learned the hard way not to mention the word "phonics" in her presence. She's dead sure that the downfall of the American education system came when they stopped teaching Phonics. And she will tell anyone within earshot, because at 98 years old, she has very few fucks left to give about other peoples' opinions. And that's exactly how she'll say it. :)

*squishes you* Ultimately you will come out much stronger out of this. Did the police do anything about it? This dude has a very unhealthy view on love :-/

*hugs you once more*

They took him to the hospital for a looking over, which in the U.S. is all they can do without a clear and present ongoing threat. It was enough of a wake up call to get him into therapy with someone who is remarkably helpful for him so far. I'm still in somewhat steady contact since a good portion of my things are still in his possession, or were moved into storage on his family property without my knowledge. I'm trying to stay on good enough terms to get my wardrobe and library back, while keeping far enough away that he can't use head games or threats to undermine me again. He is also banned from my workplace entirely, so I've always got somewhere safe to go should it be necessary.

Holy cow, what a mess. My cousin went through something like this. I will send Light and Love to you!

Glad to hear he's at least getting help! So many times this never happens.

You may be able to get a court order and a constable or sheriff to accompany you to their property to get your stuff back.

Honestly, I want to file for a US visa, go there and poke that guy's eyes out for what he did to you.

*hugs*

There are *way* better things to do with that Visa should it ever come through. :) He's not worth going to jail over. (<-- My mantra all summer.)
