Oooh, I'm so glad to hear it! I can't wait, but it'll be another month till it comes out here. We're going to see it in gold class, as long as they *show it* in gold class!
B gave me the loan of the books last night. I managed to get through the first one, determinedly began to drag myself through the second one, but bailed because there was just nothing there for me. Not even a little bit of nothing. I don't get it. I long ago realised that Gaiman is the prose equivalent of a remixer (rather than a composer), but although I've tried and tried, I don't understand why recycled fairy tales in a mode too condescending for adults and too adult for children are something worth doing.
I was going to expose my iggerance and ask "What's a Stardust when it's at home?" but A told me about it earlier today. I haven't even seen previews for it, and confess that I've never read a Gaiman book. Suggestions on a starter? I feel like I should know why he's so popular.
