One of Morray's (seemingly few) personal indulgences involves (whether he likes it or not, and he doesn't) the nexus. There's a few enterprising young Midkemians - Islemen, mainly - who'll sell or barter items from just such a world. The ceremony at recently-named Barony Morray is a private affair, and Ernest (in his own thoughts, today) prefers not to think too deeply on how his cousin and cousin's wife persuaded the priest to officiate. The announcement of Baron Morray's impending marriage to the recently-widowed Duchess Teobhan has been met about how he anticipated it would be, and true to form he's largely ignored the result. A lot of things have changed in the past few months - over half a year now since Morray's entire world upended - but some things, he likes to think, are reliable. Or, at least, close enough to. The unexpected visits that Martel inflicts on his 'cousin' are beginning to become almost customary - unpredictable certainly, like the man himself, but something of a habit. After Martel leaves again, Morray stays in his office for a good long while - a few clerks from Lenda come and go in the intervening hours, but he doesn't emerge himself until well after dinner, seeking out Teobhan with no particular agenda in mind yet but finding her.
