Chris Brown and Rihanna reunite (?!!???!!!)

Maybe Rihanna needs to revisit those photos that were taken after Brown allegedly pimp slapped her up and down the sides of head.

(see me shake my head).

I've been there done that.
I hope her parents show up and give her some support. Hearing my mom rail against me for being stupid didn't do a thing, but her asking me if I needed help did a whole lot.
Poor girl.

Her father has been vocal about not wanting her to return to Brown, but I've heard nothing about the mother's viewpoint. Apparently he has done a great deal to woo her back (her birthday was a week or so ago and he reportedly showered her with mucho birthday gifts that I'm sure were expensive).

And I've been in that situation, too so I really shouldn't criticize. I just got fed up one day and started to fight back and that changed the scenery considerably. But you're right --- a lot will depend on the type of support she receives from others, including family.

It's a classic pattern with battered women. I worked with a few, they believe they deserved the abuse, and the abusive person is the only one who will accept them.

I hate to repeat what's in the gossip rags, but. . . newblksusan March 3 2009, 15:41:31 UTC
I know it's embarrassing, but I subscribe to US Weekly (I like reading mag trash while on the treadmill) and "according to" the magazine Brown is Rihanna's "first love" and thus she finds it hard to break away from him.

The only good that can come of this is that, if they get back together for real, the public eye will be on them and their relationship to where if she ever ends up with a bruise then it won't take long to link up how she got the injury. Maybe that pressure will keep Brown on the straight and narrow.

And then, who knows --- maybe he'll "change" as a result of the backlash he has encountered because of this (one of his songs was booed as it was played prior to a Ne-Yo concert, but no boos for a Rihanna song; some radio stations have banned his music, etc.).
