A million years ago, when I (sort of) finished Harry's room at #4 Privet Drive, I promised that when the final touches were added, I would post more pictures. Well, it's been an entire year and a half, and I'm finally getting around to posting them! My apologies, y'all. I'm very lame. ( Come on in and see the pictures! )

Most impressive! I don't knit so you'll get nothing but admiration for the teeny-tiny knitting from, for the rug and the sweater and the little scarf. The cricket bat is a nice addition as well. I love that Harry's room is teenage boy appropriately messy. The details are great. Has it really been a year and a half? Your posting of Harry's room was about the time we met, whoa. Oh and I debated between icons.

However I must correct you on one point: the sneakscope from Ron was a birthday present.

Was it a birthday present? Must be time to re-read PoA!

Thanks for the compliments. :) Wow, it really IS hard to believe we've known each other that long! I was sure Harry's Room was before we met!

I knew you would appreciate the cricket bat. :)

Yes, because it came with Harry's first cards and presents, including the biting book and the broom-stick servicing kit and of course the the clipping of the family in Egypt where Ron bought it. PoA is probably the book I've reread most.

Well we had encountered one another a teeny but, but the pictures of Harry's room was sort of the beginning of the bonding.

Love the cricket bat. I actually have often wished I had a real sized one for my place, you protection and whatnot.

I hope he arrives soon. I wish I had remembered the room was GOF, but I found the detail of the HBP figure much more appealing.

Nope, he is PERFECT! He's got his handsome red Muggle hoodie goin' on, which is much better than GoF school clothes, since it's Privet Drive. And you're right, he DOES look more like Dan than the other figures I've seen. I love him! Picture to come later!

Wow, it all looks so great! I love the orrery, and also the little trunk next to his desk with bottles in it, and the scales on top of his wardrobe. And the cricket bat! I've seen a couple of cricket bats online and wanted them, but I have no place to put them. I might have to just end up getting one anyway.

Wonderful!

Oh and the shoes, forgot to mention them! Did you make them? They're adorable.

No, I bought the shoes. I think they're made out of cork or something (the wingtips, I mean) -- very light. So cute and teeny!

Cork! The black ones? They look so real!

Thanks a lot! It's been great fun to make. It's nice to find a hobby where obsessive attention to detail is a positive thing, lol! :)
