bad girl aspirations, but very little bad girl follow-through

“It’s the good girls who keep diaries, the bag girls never have the time.”  ~ Tallulah Bankhead

I like this quote because it suggests that when I’m not updating here I’m off somewhere getting up to all sorts of mischief, breaking rules and being BAD. Sadly, the reality is somewhat less interesting - take this weekend, for instance. The baddest ( Read more... )

It's the opposite for me. When I am up to no good, it's usually when I jot on paper the most. Because I need to remember certain things to get myself out of trouble. If I am being innocent, there is no need to lie, no need to struggle to remember, no need to memo!

Haha so when you're posting you are up to no good?! For me, I usually stop posting when bad/ meh / depressing things happen - don't want a record of that.

No no no no. Posts online are good things! The bad ones go on paper. So..you know...I can easily destroy them if it becomes too dangerous!

Ohhh ohhh I got you completely backwards haha. That's quite clever, being easily able to destroy or eat the bad evidence. I can imagine you munching on a screwed up wad of "bad" writing, chewing frantically and trying to swallow it before anyone notices :)

As a person who's never used perfume or been on an opulent, surrealist psychedelic trip, thar doesn't seem like a bad thing:) I'd be alright going on said mystical journey if I didn't have to take drugs or other mind altering substances to get there>_

If you want to go on an opulent surrealist psychedelic trip then absolutely, perfume ads would hold some allure. But most perfume buyers are just interested in getting something nice sniffing so they get little happy whiffs of fresh and soothing scents as they go about their busy day. It just seems like such a strange ad exec cop-out to always be subverting reality in order to sell perfume :) And pfft if you believe perfume ads, the perfumes themselves are mind altering substances!

My council already has the cameras on our bin trucks, Mel! I've had two warnings over the past year because they caught some not particularly well disguised dog poop intermingling with leaves and grass in the green bin haha. They're pretty militant! But really, what's a girl to do with all her dog poo?! And also, if I'm completely honest, I like breaking the green bin rule and blatantly sticking the poop where it shouldn't go. It feels like the perfect crime most weeks when I get away with it. Mwahahaha - yep, I'm completely out of control, dog poop-wise :)

You know, I cannot think of a single perfume ad. Except for that bloke's cologne one, where the pretty boy has a really deep voice that does not at all go with his face and he sounds like a real try-hard wanker. Does that count? It's definitely in the realm of wankdom.

Sunday mornings are not made for catch ups, that's for sure. They're made for Sunday afternoons at a pub by the beach in the sun.

I don't know that one - there are sooo many. But I'd say it counts - it does sound very wanky wankersville. The only bloke cologne one I can think of right now is the one where Johnny Depp takes a spade out into the desert and buries all his jewelry while raving on like a lunatic.

People who are all perky, cognizant and active on Sunday mornings are just completely going against the natural order of things. It's not normal!! And haha pfftt you young'uns can keep your Sunday afternoons at the pub by the beach in the sun - my ideal Sunday arvos involve reading and very little else.
